MICHAEL CAVANAUGH

CO-OWNER, CO-FOUNDER & VICE PRESIDENT

MICHAEL CAVANAUGH was born in Flint Michigan in the United States in 1951. His father had a family TV and radio repair service where Mike learned to do repairs which included board level soldering. 

Mike graduated from Nursing School in 1977, and in 1979 from Eastern Michigan University with a BS degree in Microbiology. In 1987 he entered Graduate School in Nursing at the University of Saskatchewan. After graduation from Nursing School he worked as a medical nurse at the Ann Arbor Veterans’ Hospital, and after a year he transferred to a Surgical Nursing Unit. In 1980 he transferred to Intensive Care where his electrical background became an asset. In 1981 he was appointed to the Head Nurse in the Coronary Care Unit which was developing a Cardio-Thoracic program.

In 1983 he took the position of Head Nurse of the Royal University Hospital’s Adult Intensive Care Unit, Coronary Care Unit and Hemodialysis Unit; leaving in 1987 to enter Graduate School.

Upon leaving Graduate School, Mike began working with a local computer store as a consultant developing new markets — continuing on as a consultant, he opened a retail computer store providing sales and service which is in operation today. In the past 29 years he has started other multiple other businesses – Step Marketing, Maduro Coffee & Tea, GreenStem Technology A Bio-Technology Company, (with  sister company Bio-Remediation Services in Uganda), LICA medical Supply and Inspection Company and Sama Sama Coffee Company. Mike’s broad background, including most importantly bio-science through GreenSTEM Technology, brings to Lambda valuable knowledge and environmental monitoring insight for practical field applications of wireless technologies.
